Cpl UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is currently seeking an experienced Forensic Specialty Doctor in North Wales.
This is a new full-time specialty post (1 WTE) joining three existing full-time Forensic Consultants. The post involves 10 sessions per week, including 8 DCC sessions and 2 SPA sessions.
The post holder will provide psychiatric care for inpatients at a medium secure unit, manage referrals via a single access point, and participate in weekly planning meetings. Responsibilities include preparing reports for the Ministry of Justice, Mental Health Act Review Tribunals, and other legal and clinical reports.
The role is based in North Wales, involving clinical leadership and supervision within a multidisciplinary team, and may include training responsibilities. The post requires compliance with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and responsibilities under the same measure. At times, the post may involve supervising junior doctors, depending on staffing. The post may also involve responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983) as a section 12/2 approved doctor, excluding routine 136 assessments.
