Main duties of the job

At Scarborough Hospital, surgical services are supported by an 8-bedded Intensive Care Unit with funding for up to 6 level 3 patients at any one time. The main theatre suite comprises five theatres, in addition to which there is a separate maternity theatre.

Surgical services at Scarborough currently include general surgery (including emergencies), trauma, gynaecology, ENT, maxillo-facial, oral surgery, ophthalmology, and urology. We also have a successful and expanding day unit to support this work.
