Job summary

HCRG Care Group seeks an experienced Specialty Doctor in Developmental Paediatrics to deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and young people within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to safeguarding activities, case reviews, audits, and service development, while accessing mentorship and professional growth opportunities in a flexible, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Responsibilities: Conduct developmental paediatric clinics, including assessments for SEND, school medicals, and Looked After Children, ensuring timely and accurate reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for assessments, treatment, and follow-ups, including safeguarding activities and case reviews.
• Liaise with other health professionals to ensure coordinated care and contribute to other Developmental Paediatrics work as required.
• Professional and Operational Duties: Participate in the supervision, teaching, and training of staff.
• Contribute to audits, clinical governance, and service development discussions with internal and external agencies.
• Adhere to infection control policies, confidentiality standards, and professional obligations.
• Actively engage in personal development and support the development of colleagues.
• Job Plan: Direct Clinical Care (DCC): Clinical work, administration, safeguarding, peer reviews, and supervision.
• Job Plan: Supporting Professional Activities (SPA): CPD, audits, teaching, governance, and service improvements.
