Arthur is delighted to support a Speciality Insurer in recruiting a Pricing Actuary. This role involves overseeing pricing reviews, model maintenance, and underwriter support to ensure consistent, compliant, and commercially viable pricing decisions across assigned business lines.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the delivery and maintenance of technical pricing models for single risk portfolios.
2. Oversee pricing reviews and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
3. Develop and review case pricing and provide actuarial input on pricing adjustments to meet profitability targets.
4. Support underwriting teams by offering expert advice on pricing decisions.
5. Contribute to reserving, business planning, and premium projections across relevant portfolios.
6. Manage stakeholder relationships across actuarial, underwriting, and finance teams.

Requirements

1. Part or fully qualified actuary with at least 3 years of experience in general insurance pricing.
2. Strong technical background in speciality pricing within the London Market.
3. Proficient in Excel, VBA, and pricing software; knowledge of SQL, Python, or PowerBI is desirable.
4. Experience working closely with underwriters on model use and pricing decisions.
