The Brighton and Hove Division have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Grade doctor to join our acute services at Mill View Hospital in Hove. You will work with the Senior medical team and the wider MDT on the ward to provide excellent care to patients. You will have the opportunity to join the local and trust wider academic programme in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
The 0.6 WTE Specialty Grade Doctor will provide specialist medical and psychiatric assessment and treatment including physical investigations of patients. You will provide medical leadership and attend to the ward multidisciplinary team meeting. You will support the senior medical team with weekly psychiatric assessment and reviews of the inpatient caseload. You will be the first medical response to psychiatric emergencies and medical seclusion reviews. You will carry out administrative tasks such as documenting ward reviews, completing discharge summaries, preparing reports for mental health act tribunals and referral letters to the medical hospital. You will be managing physical healthcare of patients on the ward.
