The NHS in Oxfordshire offers a Specialty Doctor position in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Eating Disorders Team. You will assess and manage young patients with eating disorders while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Are you interested in delivering and developing ground-breakingand growing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in cultural and picturesque Oxfordshire? We have a Specialty Doctor Post opportunity in our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team.
The specialty doctor would, under supervision, and as part of an MDT assess and manage young people with eating disorders and co-morbid mental health problems which includes a wide range of common presentations in CAMHS (e.g. anxiety, depression, OCD, Neurodevelopmental disorders). The role includes diagnostic assessments, formulation, at times psychological treatments such as family-based approaches, psycho-pharmacological treatments, liaison with other agencies, physical risk assessments and regular CPAs. He/she/they would also provide clinical consultation to members of the multidisciplinary team particularly around physical health, psychiatric co-morbidities (e.g. anxiety, depression, OCD, ASD and appropriate prescribing if indicated) and would support admission to paediatric and psychiatry beds where indicated.

Under the supervision and direction of the consultant, the post holder will be responsible for: Role in assessment of new patient referrals Care plan and treatment formulation, guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness. Physical risk assessments and checking blood results. Liaison with paediatricians and acute medicine for patients requiring physical stabilisation at an acute hospital Ordering blood tests and ECGS Routine medication reviews Complex case management Consultation to the wider team Liaison and collaborative working with other services/agencies. Attendance at Team Business Meeting and Clinical Team Meetings Multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and partnership working Mental Health Act assessment, Mental Capacity Act Assessments
