Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is expanding our middle grade establishment and seeking enthusiastic Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctors to join our innovative and evolving Emergency Department (ED) team.

Our state-of-the-art emergency department opened in 2023, offering high-quality, safe, and compassionate care in a bespoke facility.

Opportunities for Development

We provide regular teaching and training opportunities, including bedside teaching from consultants, board rounds, and formal sessions contributing to RCEM exams. We support candidates aiming for CESR and promote research involvement and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

The Role

As part of our ED team, you will deliver evidence-based emergency medicine, participate in teaching, and maintain operational standards. Our co-located GP-led Urgent Care Centre caters to adults and children with minor illnesses and injuries, ensuring appropriate care levels. You will work towards KPIs and uphold excellent care standards. Further details, including the personal specification, are provided in the attached job description. A formal job plan will be developed covering clinical practice, teaching, research, education, and management responsibilities.
