About the role
We are looking for Speciality Doctors in Anaesthesia to join our welcoming and friendly team on the beautiful Isle of Man, where we are aiming to become the best, small Island-based health and care system in the world.
Noble’s Hospital provides a comprehensive range of services typical of most district general hospitals including acute medicine, general and orthopaedic surgery, maternity, paediatrics, a special care baby unit, an intensive therapy unit and a critical care unit.
The Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Service provide anaesthetic services for all the major specialities (excluding neuro and cardiac surgery), in six operating theatres, plus care of patients in our ICU. In addition, our team also provide a Consultant-led pain service and an anaesthetic service in our obstetric theatre and epidural service.
The Island also provides an air ambulance service for the transfer of critically ill patients to the UK. The medical lead for the air ambulance service is a Consultant Anaesthetist.
You will join ten Consultants, one Associate Specialist and two Speciality Doctors to provide resident on-call cover for anaesthetics, as well as general anaesthetic duties.

Accommodation is available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents.
A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.
