Speciality Doctor/Associate Specialist in Gastro

Triple West Medical has been appointed by an NHS organisation in South Wales to recruit a Speciality Doctor or Associate Specialist in Gastroenterology on a substantive or fixed-term contract.

The organisation has a budget of £1 billion, employs over 14,000 staff, and provides healthcare services to more than 500,000 people.

The department offers a comprehensive GI service, including tertiary services such as complex hepatobiliary disease, EUS, oesophageal manometry, complex IBD, intestinal failure, home parenteral nutrition, and advanced endoscopy procedures like EMR, ESD, and RFA. The ERCP service is based at one site, handling approximately 450 cases annually, covering both secondary and tertiary cases. Bowel screening colonoscopy is performed at another site, which also serves as a regional centre for endoscopy training, assessment, and clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing GI cancer, attending Tumour Boards (MDTs), and treating chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
