Job Opportunity: Part-Time Specialty Doctor at Priory Hospital Preston

Location: Priory Hospital Preston, Rosemary Lane, Bartle, Preston, PR4 0HB

Hours: 30 hours per week

Vacancy Type: Permanent - Part Time

About the Role

Due to hospital expansion, we are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Specialty Doctor to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a team led by Consultant Psychiatrists, supported by a Specialty Doctor and multidisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges
  • Oversee daily ward activities, including risk assessments, MDT liaison, outcome measurements, and physical health reviews
  • Conduct mental health assessments, prepare reports, and clinical summaries; proficiency in ICT and electronic records system (Carenotes) required
  • Participate in audits, research, quality assurance, and professional development activities
Candidate Requirements
  • Medical degree (MB ChB or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Minimum of one year's experience in mental health
