Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Speciality Coffee & Food Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team in St.Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. This position requires strong communication skills and leadership along with the vision and ability to better current systems and work flow within the shop. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the store drives revenue, adheres to all health and safety standards and has the ability to engage and lead a team to succeed!

Duties:

• Delivering great customer service to everyone who walks through our doors.
• Manage staff and rotas based on staff availability provided.
• Manage all ordering, stock rotation and deliveries for the store.
• Prepare and execute daily tasks for the team to keep them engaged and busy.
• Be able to manage and prepare specialty coffee along with latte art.
• Have an eagerness to learn food handling skills working within our kitchen and creating delicious bagels.
• Report and provide feedback to senior management regarding any issues your store may be facing.
• Adhering to all food hygiene, health and safety requirements and policies.

Experience:

• Minimum of two years experience within hospitality sites as a head barista, coffee manager.
• Driven mentality and a solid problem solver to better store operations.
• Business savvy mindset to understand what success looks like within hospitality.
• A can-do, will-do attitude assisting the business where it’s needed.
• A highly adaptable candidate who is able to switch between long-term strategic plans one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.
• We operate 7 days a week along with one or two evenings. It will be essential for you to have good availability across the working week with both weekend days free if required.
• Excellent communication skills will allow you to embed and drive the business standards, along with ensuring all areas, policies & procedures are adhered to daily.
• We’re still a young business with our sights set on growth, we would require the same drive and passion for growth from the successful candidate.
