Job summary

Bearbrook Combined School in Aylesbury is seeking a dynamic Teaching Assistant to work in our SEND Unit, focusing on education for children with communication and interaction difficulties. The role is term time only (38 weeks), 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, based in The Bearbrook Den within the school.

You will support pupils with SEND, observe and record progress, and contribute to rapid career development within the Great Learners Trust.

This Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and inspirational Teaching Assistant to work within our SEND Unit, specialising in education for children with communication and interaction difficulties. We are looking for a strong practitioner who has knowledge and understanding of effectively supporting children with communication and interaction difficulties. They will have an understanding of SEND and the essential processes needed for successful SEND support and inclusion within a primary school and have evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.

Working Pattern

The role is term time only (38 weeks). Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm (1/2‑hour unpaid lunch break).

Location

The role will be based at Bearbrook Combined School within the SEND Unit (known as The Bearbrook Den).
