Specialist Tutor Looked After Children (LAC) / SEND / SEMH Worcestershire

Location: Various locations across Worcestershire
Rate: From GBP25 + per hour (dependent on delivery/experience etc.)
Hours: Monday-Friday, mainly school hours (some flexibility)

The Opportunity

You will design and deliver personalised sessions to help learners achieve SMART targets, develop key skills, or work towards independence and re‑engagement. Our tutors often take a mentoring role, encouraging self‑belief, resilience, and curiosity.

Ideal backgrounds include:
  • SEND Teachers, SEMH Specialists, Therapeutic Practitioners, Mentors, or Youth Workers
  • Pastoral Leads or Teaching Assistants experienced with trauma‑informed support
  • Tutors with QTS or equivalent confident delivering primary, secondary, or post‑16 learning
You will:
  • Create bespoke 1:1 learning plans centred on interests and emotional readiness
  • Deliver sessions that uplift, encourage, and re‑introduce learning gently
  • Support literacy, numeracy, life skills, or accredited study routes
  • Build positive, stable relationships and maintain consistent communication

Contract Details
