SGS College invites applications for Specialist Tutor roles to deliver English and Maths, with flexibility to timetable based on strengths. The post supports learners to achieve GCSE Functional Skills and develop essential skills in a dynamic college setting.

Qualifications

• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience with learners with specific learning difficulties is desirable.
• L7 Exams Access Arrangements qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality delivery one-to-one or in small groups.
• Deliver interventions in classroom or small group settings.
• Use multisensory approaches in Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths.
• Prepare engaging, accessible learning materials, including digital resources.
• Build bespoke learning plans tailored to individual needs and promote independent learning.
• Monitor learner achievement and engagement.
• Collaborate with course tutors, Exams Team, and parents/carers to support student success.
• Train students and staff in the use of assistive technology.
