The school seeks committed and enthusiastic teaching assistants with experience supporting young people with SEN, although not necessarily in a school setting. You should be willing to engage in all aspects of pupil care and development, work under pressure, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer three specific roles, all full-time, starting in September 2022:

  1. Early Years Assistant
Supporting children under 5 with identified needs. Prior experience in EYFS and curriculum knowledge are preferred. Training and guidance will be provided.
  2. MLD Class Teaching Assistant
Working with a class of 6 pupils with moderate learning difficulties, who can access a mainstream curriculum with support.
  3. PMLD/Complex Needs
Supporting pupils with profound multiple learning difficulties and complex needs, including care activities like feeding and manual handling. Previous experience with PMLD children is desirable.
The School

This specialist school caters to pupils aged 4-19 years with moderate to severe and profound learning difficulties. It emphasizes developing pupils' potential and independence, supports exploring and learning new skills, and assists with employment and independent living. Recently refurbished, the school features state-of-the-art facilities and serves the Jewish community in North London.
