Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Reading

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £90 - £105 per day

A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Reading is looking for a dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will work with children and young people who may have a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and social, emotional and mental health challenges.

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide individualised 1:1 and small group support
• Help pupils engage positively with learning and classroom activities
• Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and abilities
• Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour

This Specialist Teaching Assistant position would be ideal for someone with previous experience in SEN, childcare, care, youth work, support work or education.
