Join our Team as a part-time Teaching Assistant at Wheatfield Primary School!
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Actual Salary: £20,794.33 – £22,569.08 per annum (based on up to 31.25 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days)
Hours: Up to 31.25 hours per week
Please note: working hours may be subject to change in response to operational needs. Any proposed changes would be discussed in consultation with the successful candidate at interview.
Contract: Permanent

The Role
We require an outstanding, creative and highly motivated Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team. You should be committed to removing barriers to learning for children with additional needs. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work alongside our Assistant Head for Inclusion to plan and lead, our brand-new enhanced learning provision, ‘The Burrow’. The Burrow will be a nurturing environment in which children with specific Communication and Interaction and Social, emotional and mental health barriers can access provision tailored to their needs. Children will work with a high level of adult support in order to be able to access learning. This provision is designed to be a short to medium-term intervention for these children.

Fluency Duty
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
