Job description

At Ripple Education, we are a trusted local Education Supply Agency providing high-quality teaching and support staff to specialist and mainstream settings across the North East. We are currently recruiting Teachers for specialist settings.

  • Primary Teachers - Part time
  • Primary Teachers - Full time
  • Primary Teacher - Adhoc work booked in advance
  • Secondary Teacher - Part time
  • Secondary Teacher - Full time
  • Secondary Teacher - Adhoc work booked in advance
The Role

We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate Teachers to support students within highly specialised settings across Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the educational and emotional development of students in the classroom.
  • Build trusted relationships with young people while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
  • Plan and deliver structured lessons, tailored interventions and activities focused on personal development and vocational skills.
  • Provide 1 : 1 and group support, encouraging engagement, resilience and progress.
  • Assist with managing behaviour using specialist approaches.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Person Specification
Minimum Essential Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • QTS / Teaching Experience
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties, ideally in a secure or SEN environment
  • Training in de‑scalation and trauma‑informed practice (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Experience in residential, SEN or PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) settings.
