Job description

Specialist Tax Advisor
Up to 50,000 per annum (depending on skills and abilities)
Permanent role in Chester Business Park.
Additional benefits:

The Role:
Working for a chartered accountants the role will involve the delivery of a range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframes.

Responsibilities of the Specialist Tax Advisor:

• Researching, analysing, and interpreting evolving tax legislation in the UK and internationally.
• Engaging with clients and gathering necessary information.
• Applying tax laws and revenue regulations to client situations.
• Communicating and negotiating with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Developing tax strategies and assisting clients in planning their financial futures.
• Performing detailed calculations to determine tax liabilities and providing advice on minimizing them.
• Setting up and structuring family trusts.
• Offering estate planning guidance, including tax residence and domicile matters.
• Drafting Wills and Power of Attorney documents.
• Advising on indirect taxation matters such as VAT, customs planning, and environmental taxes.
• Preparing reports and presentations for clients.

Requirements of the Specialist Tax Advisor:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Commercial awareness.
• Excellent customer service.
• CTA qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
