Job summary

STRATFORD UPON AVON SCHOOL on Alcester Road invites applications for a Specialist Teaching Assistant (TA3) – Literacy & EAL. To start as soon as possible, 37 hours per week during term time plus 5 staff learning days. Salary Band H £32,578–£35,570; actual salary £28,223–£31,513 depending on experience.

The role coordinates EAL provision, supports literacy and SEN across the school, and delivers individual, paired and small-group sessions. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting literacy and EAL learners.
• Ability to work with students with SEN.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EAL provision across the school.
• Support literacy development for students.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small-group sessions.
