Vacancies: Specialist Support Worker - Waking Nights (Full Time)

Job Introduction

We are eager to connect with passionate individuals committed to providing person-centred care. If you have empathy, resilience, and dedication, we want to hear from you! No prior care experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive support, including face-to-face training, e-learning, shadowing, and assistance with obtaining a Care Certificate and a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, in partnership with Paragon Skills.

*Roles are paid at an hourly rate of £12.70, which equates to an annual salary of approximately £27,734.40 for a 42-hour week. The salary is illustrative, and NLW applies, pro-rated based on contracted hours.

This is a full-time, contracted position.

Our Application Process

Our process includes telephone screening, and roles involving contact with service users are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An Enhanced DBS check is required, and further details are provided during screening. All pre-employment checks are conducted by our third-party provider, Adecco.

It is a criminal offence for barred individuals to apply for roles involving unsupervised work with vulnerable adults.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support service users to lead active, fulfilling lives according to their wishes and support plans
  • Ensure safety and safeguard welfare, taking appropriate action when needed
  • Provide emotional support with a person-centred approach
  • Assist with social activities, finances, medication, practical tasks, personal care, hygiene, and healthcare
  • Act as an informal contact for service users' support network
  • Accurately report and record care-related issues
  • Follow health and safety regulations and maintain professional boundaries
  • Adhere to organisational policies and demonstrate organisational values
