Job Description:

Working hours: 40 hours per week (Rota which may include some evenings and weekends)

Interview Date: To be confirmed

We are looking for a skilled, positive and engaging individual to provide coproduction opportunities and diversionary activities in our service, The STEP Project (Support That Empowers People) in Denbighshire. The aim of this project is to provide a better, overall, experience of living in temporary accommodation in Denbighshire, where people are supported to improve their wellbeing and build on their future.

STEP will support up to 32 households who currently reside in temporary accommodation. Support will initially begin in existing temporary settings in the borough (B&B), before transitioning into bespoke supported living facilities, as these premises become available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design and deliver an engaging programme of meaningful activities and co-production opportunities, to provide structure and purpose for families and single people across multiple community locations.
  • To work in partnership with our wider team supporting families and single people living in temporary emergency accommodation across multiple sites in Rhyl.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to:

  • Lead in a variety of activities that help to develop confidence and wellbeing for those who take part.
  • Create co-production opportunities for everyone in the service, enabling everyone’s voice to be heard, harnessing good ideas and using them to influence, design and develop the project.
  • Role model positive organisational values, apply psychologically informed practice and a trauma informed approach to aid engagement.
  • Hold the ability to work in sympathy with the spiritual principles of The Salvation Army
