Base pay range

Location: Hampshire

Salary: £35,000 per annum + additional on-call pay

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some evening/weekend on-call duties

We are exclusively partnering with a leading organisation that delivers innovative, trauma-informed, and family-centred care for neurodivergent children and young people. We are currently supporting them in the recruitment of Intensive Support Practitioners to join their expanding service across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a passionate, purpose-driven team making a real impact in young people’s lives through systemic advocacy and holistic support.

About the Role:

As an Intensive Support Practitioner, you will work directly with neurodivergent children, young people (CYP), and their families to deliver person-centred support, using trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practices. You’ll collaborate with education, social care, health, and other professionals to co-produce interventions that promote safety, resilience, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic, trauma-informed support to families and neurodivergent CYP
  • Champion the voice of young people in shaping care and education plans
  • Liaise with schools, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Complete risk assessments, manage crisis protocols, and support Missing from Home responses
  • Take on 'Appropriate Adult' responsibilities where required
  • Support mental health needs in collaboration with psychology teams
  • Participate in reflective supervision, training, and out-of-hours on-call rotation
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people in acute/crisis settings
  • Strong understanding of systemic barriers and how unmet needs affect behaviour and outcomes
  • Confident navigating multidisciplinary care and services
  • Experience using electronic case recording systems
  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance

Desirable (but not essential):

  • PMVA or other crisis intervention training
  • Recognised Social Work or childcare qualification
