We are currently working in partnership with a renowned Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Specialist Support Worker on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position (37.5 hours a week) based in Swindon, with home-to-patch hybrid working and a salary of £26,052 per annum with opportunities for progression.

The ideal candidate will have an enhanced DBS issued within the last three years and a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  1. Facilitating outcome-focused, weekly one-to-one support sessions tailored to the individual needs of each survivor
  2. Operating within established professional boundaries, employing trauma-informed approaches and best practices
  3. Engaging in active listening to cultivate trust, safety, and rapport with survivors
  4. Supporting individuals presenting with complex needs and challenging behaviours, while assessing and managing associated risks
  5. Acting as a dedicated advocate, ensuring the voice and rights of survivors are represented and respected
  6. Fostering effective partnerships with external agencies and maintaining clear, collaborative communication
  7. Encouraging personal empowerment and autonomy, supporting survivors in making informed choices and achieving greater independence
