ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Support Practitioner to join a passionate team that supports the achievements of students with additional learning needs and disabilities.

In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of student success and will:

  • Deliver high quality one to one or small group support to HE students with diverse learning needs
  • Support inclusive learning
  • Help students access campus and curriculum
  • Support awareness raising and understanding of access and inclusion

  • A warm, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
  • Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent).
  • Qualified to level 5 or above
  • Flexibility to work evenings and support off-site provision.
