Job description

Contract Type: 1 x Permanent, 1 x Temporary (Ending 31st August 2026)

Hours: 32.5 Hours per week. Term time plus 1 week

Salary: Grade D SCP 7 - 11 £25,584 - £27,269 (Pro Rata)

Closing Date: Monday 30th June 2025, 12:00pm

Proposed Interview Date: Friday 4th July 2025

We are looking to appoint two experienced Specialist Support Assistant to work with pupils with special educational needs in EYFS/KS1 or KS2.

In this role you will provide support through a bespoke curriculum alongside an EHCP, and you may also be required to support generally in class as well as working with selected individuals and groups of pupils. The successful candidate will have a passionate commitment to ensuring that every child makes academic progress, will be highly effective, flexible, positive and reliable team players.

The successful candidate(s) will also need to have proven skills in Literacy and Numeracy with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English. You will also have a background of working with children aged 4-11 and children with additional needs. Previous, unsuccessful applicants are asked not to apply.

This post is for a permanent position and a temporary position with a contract expiry of 31st August 2026. Both positions will commence as soon as possible, to be mutually agreed with the successful candidate.
