Overview

Position: Level 2B SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:45 – 15:45 (half hour lunch) term time only 32.5 hours per week.

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Type: Temporary contract (with possibility of going permanent for the right candidate)

Pay: Apply online only / day depending on experience

Vida Education are looking for an experienced or newly qualified level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this position you will be working within a specialist SEND provision supporting children from 4–19 years who present with a wide range of SEND from moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD) to Profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). The school is located in the Barrow-in-Furness area (LA14).

Responsibilities

You would be joining a supportive and progressive team who have high expectations for the children under their care.

Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children with SEND, such as SLD as well as complex and physical needs.
  • Bring a nurturing, enthusiastic, and reliable presence to the classroom
  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Full-time
  • Some personal care will be required for the role, but a dedicated personal care team will also be there to assist.
You will need to
  • Have UK Right to Work Status.
  • Hold a TA qualification or have relevant work experience.
  • Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
