Overview

Position: Level 2B SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:45 - 3:45 (half hour lunch), term time only - 32.5 hours per week.

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Type: Temporary contract (with possibility of going permanent for the right candidate)

Pay: Apply online only per day - depending on experience

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Support children from 4-19 years with a wide range of SEND from MLD/SLD to PMLD in a specialist SEND provision.
• Provide a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable presence in the classroom.
• Some personal care will be required; a dedicated personal care team is available to assist.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children with SEND, including SLD and complex/physical needs.
• Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Hold UK Right to Work Status.
• Complete registration with Vida Education including holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS (cost applied).
