Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a specialist one-to-one study skills tutor to provide study skills and disability strategy support to students with specific learning difficulties, autism and a range of other disabilities.

You must meet professional criteria (DSA-QAG) or DfE criteria for SS-ASC; the university will reimburse relevant professional body fees and CPD. The post may be sponsorship-eligible under Skilled Worker visa rules.

• Must have specialist knowledge of specific learning difficulties or autism.
• Membership with ADSHE, BDA, Dyslexia Guild or PATOSS per DSA-QAG criteria or meet DfE criteria for SS-ASC.

Would you like to support the academic progress of students with barriers to learning? Are you experienced in working professional with adults or young people in a supportive role? Do you have specialist knowledge of specific learning difficulties or autism?

As a specialist one to one study skills tutor you will be responsible for providing study skills and disability strategy support to students with specific learning difficulties, autism and a range of other disabilities.

You must either:

• The appropriate professional membership for supporting students with specific learning difficulties of: ADSHE, BDA, Dyslexia Guild or PATOSS, as set in the DSA-QAG mandatory criteria. The University will reimburse you for professional body fees and some relevant CPD.

Contracts are available on a minimum number of contracted hours per year basis.
