Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Oldham is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to join the acute wards at The Royal Oldham Hospital, rotating into the dedicated critical care SLT team and contributing to the weekly videofluoroscopy clinic and our out-patient service.

You will join a team of 8 SLTs (6.77 wte) and 2 Assistants (0.97 wte) covering acute medicine and surgery, critical care, neonatal intensive care, acute paediatrics, out-patients, videofluoroscopy and FEES, with

Qualifications

To be a specialist speech and language therapist in the field of adult acquired communication / swallowing disorders.
To act as an autonomous practitioner with specialist knowledge, skills and experience, assessing, diagnosing and managing patients on the caseload.
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of one’s professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards.
To plan, deliver and evaluate clinical audit, research activities and in-service training within specialist area.
