Job Description:

We are seeking a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in London. The role involves delivering assessments and interventions in speech, language, and communication, developing therapy plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Hours:

37.5 hours per week, flexible across 6 days (Monday-Saturday)

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice
  • Deliver assessments and interventions in your area of expertise
  • Develop and review therapy plans
  • Provide reports for EHCPs, reviews, and tribunals
  • Lead therapeutic interventions and assess client needs
  • Work with families and carers to promote outcomes
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Support service setup in various educational settings
  • Maintain clinical records and contribute to service development
  • Train and support junior staff and students
Training & Capacity Building
  • Design and deliver staff training
  • Mentor colleagues in your area of expertise
Safeguarding & Compliance
  • Maintain confidential records in line with GDPR and HCPC standards
  • Follow safeguarding policies
  • Ensure quality through audits and feedback
Person Specification:
Essential
  • BSc or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy
  • HCPC and Royal College registrations
  • At least 4 years’ experience with complex children and young people
  • Specialism in SEN, SEMH, or GLP
  • Leadership or service development experience
  • Strong report writing and multi-agency collaboration skills
Desirable
  • Postgraduate training in your area of expertise
  • Knowledge of SEND processes and EHCPs
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support
