Job Description

Summary of the Role:

  • Assess and treat a caseload as an autonomous practitioner, providing highly specialist neurology physiotherapy services to patients.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess and treat patients with complex neurological disabilities, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with other Band 7 Physiotherapists to lead inpatient neurological physiotherapy services, including Stroke and acute neuro medical caseloads, with potential rotation into Neuro Outpatients, Stroke ESD, and Ealing Hospital.
  • Support the development of the Neurology Physiotherapy Service alongside senior management.
  • Manage all aspects of the Neurology Physiotherapy Service, including referrals and patient allocation.
  • Develop and appraise team members across various bands and students.
  • Provide ongoing training and education to staff, healthcare professionals, and students.
  • Engage in professional development and service improvement initiatives.
  • Lead clinical audits and undertake research activities.
  • Participate in a weekend working rota (1 in 5 weekends) and respiratory on-call rota.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Essential: MSc or BSc in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration

Experience
