At NELFT, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your personal circumstances.

We are looking for a speech and language therapist to join our diverse Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team in the London borough of Redbridge. Redbridge is a vibrant community with excellent amenities and transport links. You can learn more about the area and our services on our careers website.

You will work as part of a friendly, diverse, and supportive team to provide services for children with speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties in pre-school settings, community clinics, and schools. Your role will include assessments, interventions, and training to upskill parents, carers, and education staff. There are opportunities to develop and specialise in areas such as Autism and AAC.

This position is ideal for an established Band 5 speech and language therapist seeking a new challenge or a Band 6 therapist ready to diversify their career.

As a core member of our Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team, you will deliver care in community, clinics, and educational settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, for clients with social communication needs and speech and language disorders.
  2. Organise and prioritise your workload efficiently.
  3. Deputise in the team manager's absence and delegate tasks appropriately.
  4. Contribute to multidisciplinary support for clients with communication difficulties.
  5. Provide feedback and advice to parents, carers, and team members regarding communication strategies.
  6. Develop and deliver training and support packages.
  7. Attend supervision sessions regularly to develop reflective and clinical decision-making skills.

Starting with NELFT, new employees will receive a comprehensive induction, including mandatory and systems training, at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Induction begins on the first Monday of each month.

This role is subject to a probationary period, except for internal applicants. It also attracts a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, paid pro-rata for part-time staff.

We are a registered sponsor organisation but cannot offer sponsorship for all roles. Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points-based system.
