We are excited to offer this paediatric Specialist Speech and Language Therapist post to an enthusiastic, innovative therapist passionate about supporting children's speech, language, and communication needs. This role provides opportunities for professional development within a friendly and supportive team.
The Children's SLT team is committed to staff wellbeing, supervision, and continued professional development. You will participate in staff development workshops, team meetings, and training days, with access to clinical specialists for support and advice.
This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 31/08/2027, covering a secondment. Applicants should seek permission from their current line manager if applying as a secondment.
We seek a team-oriented therapist with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. The candidate should embody the NHS Wales values of listening, learning, respecting others, and teamwork.
This position considers Welsh language skills desirable at Level 3 Speaking/Listening (or B1 if learned as an adult). Basic conversational ability is sufficient; fluent Welsh speakers are not required.
Part of NHS Wales, serving around 450,000 people across Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf. Our staff are predominantly local, reflecting the diverse communities we serve.
