We require a specialist Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) to join the Band 6 rotations at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). The rotations cover stroke, neurorehabilitation, neurology, neuro-oncology, and neurosurgery. Patients will have a wide range of acute, chronic, and progressive speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Candidates should ideally have postgraduate experience in adult neurology, rehabilitation, and dysphagia.
You will join a team of SLTs with a well-established support and supervision system. The SLT service has a high profile within the multidisciplinary range of services provided.
The post offers opportunities to use specialist clinical skills and contribute to research and teaching programs within this specialized patient population.

Main duties of the job
The rotational post manages a defined SLT caseload within NHNN, supporting services such as neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, stroke, neurorehabilitation, aphasia, neurology, and movement disorders. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across UCLH Trust, demonstrating evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, effective communication, teaching skills, and team-working abilities.
