Job description

Experienced Speech & Language Therapist job vacancy in Norwich, Norfolk
Fixed Term Contract from September (or to start as soon as possible) until November 2026, 40 Hours per week.
This job vacancy is in Norwich, Norfolk but could also be commutable from the Ipswich area of Suffolk.

Benefits
• £32302 - £38729 per annum, Negotiable DOE
• UK Driving License Essential.
• 40 Hours per week.

Duties
As a Speech & Language Therapist working with children with special education needs, learning, physical, and sensory disabilities, you will:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs, focusing on enhancing communication and social skills.
• Provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions to support language development and sensory processing.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create a cohesive approach to each child's development.
• Offer training and guidance to school staff on implementing communication strategies within the classroom.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of each student, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to create holistic support plans, contributing speech and language expertise to wider educational and behavioral interventions.
• Participate in IEP (Individualised Education Program) meetings to support goal setting and progress tracking for each student.
Criteria:
• A qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration and a member of RCSLT.
• Experience working with children with autism and complex needs or possess transferrable skills from similar roles.
• A strong commitment to evidence-based methods and a genuine passion for supporting children in reaching their full potential.
• A Full Driving licence and own car is essential due to the location of the School.
