Job description

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

What you'll be working: This role is 22.5 hours per week. Ideally, the successful candidate will need to be on site on Tuesdays, but the remaining hours can be discussed and agreed. We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing: Deliver specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological communication and swallowing disorders, including appropriate referral for instrumental assessment (VF, FEES if applicable). Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based practice. Provide training and support to patients, families, and the wider interdisciplinary team. Play an active role in service development, clinical audits, and research. Supervise and mentor junior SLTs, assistants, and students as required.
