Overview

The Community Speech & Language Therapy team at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust works across the localities of Sefton and Liverpool, and as part of our development, we have a vacancy for Band 6 Specialist Speech & Language Therapists based in Liverpool.

We are looking for an experienced therapist to join our community clinics and a language resource base to support children and young people with early language and speech sound disorders.

About the post

This is a specialist post, with support from a range of highly specialist speech and language therapists, and access to external CPD courses and opportunities to undertake research encouraged.

This post is based in the community, and so there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to travel to, and between various locations throughout the week. The successful candidate will continue to develop their specialist knowledge and skills in the areas of early language development, developmental language disorder and speech sound disorders, providing assessment and therapy to a small caseload of children in clinic and one of our language resources.

The team also deliver parent training through workshops and provide face to face and digital therapy in groups and individually.

In addition to this, first assessments, delivering parent training through workshops and provide face to face and digital therapy in groups is also included within the job plan for this post.
