Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Specialist Social Worker in Harrogate to join the Children and Young People’s Services. The role focuses on developing relationships with children and families, and working with multi-agency partners to secure positive outcomes.

You will have access to bespoke training on CSE, exploitation, missing and contextual safeguarding, continuing your CPD and sharing learning within the workforce. The team uses Signs of Safety and Family Finding approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding children and working within Children’s Social Care.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-agency partners to secure positive outcomes for children.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with children and families and work with multi-agency partners to ensure the right outcomes.
• Attend varied and bespoke training on topics such as child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing, contextual safeguarding and private fostering.
• Apply solution-focused, strength-based practice models including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and Family Finding.
