Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Specialist Social Worker to join the Children and Young Peoples Services. You will provide oversight and support to Children and Families staff and partners on complex cases within safeguarding and contextual exploitation areas.

Role includes engaging with training on CSE, missing, and contextual safeguarding, using Signs of Safety and systemic approaches to achieve positive outcomes for children across the county.

Qualifications

• Social worker with oversight responsibilities and HCPC registration.
• Experience in child protection, safeguarding and complex casework.
• Ability to work with multi-agency partners to secure child welfare outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships and work with multi-agency partners to ensure the right outcomes for children.
• Attend varied and bespoke training on child sexual exploitation, exploitation, missing and safeguarding.
• Apply solution-focused, strength-based practice models including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and Family Finding.
