Job summary

Sirona care & health invites applications for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to support adults with learning disabilities within SALDHS. The post is based in North Somerset, with travel to Bristol/South Gloucestershire as needed, and follows a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm pattern in a community setting.

You will work in a locality multi-disciplinary team, delivering person-centred care, providing training, and working with specialist SLTs to enhance skills and pathways while maintaining

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Experience or interest in learning disability services.
• Ability to work in community settings and MDTs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload of people with learning disabilities with communication and eating/drinking needs.
• Deliver services in the community, including home visits and other environments familiar to service users.
• Provide training to carers, family members and health/social care staff.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team with clinical specialist SLTs and the SLT Clinical Lead.
• Develop resources and information in accessible formats and support care pathways.
