Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to manage a caseload of inpatients with swallowing and communication disorders in acute medicine. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, gaining specialist skills in areas like respiratory care, FEES, and videofluoroscopy.

We encourage flexible working and CPD development, with opportunities to advance skills and contribute to service improvements within a large teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• Registered with HCPC.
• Post-graduate qualification and/or experience in dysphagia.
• Member of RCSLT.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of inpatients with acquired swallowing and/or communication disorders in acute medicine.
• Work with MDT colleagues to develop skills in areas such as dysphagia, FEES and videofluoroscopy.
• Contribute to service development and ongoing CPD; support flexible working patterns.
