Job description

Due to growth, a new and exciting position is available for a Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations professional. Our client is part of a UK privately owned group handling more than 4.75 million consignments yearly, with a live customer base of 1500 per week.

Responsibilities for the Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations

With AI companies opening data centres worldwide, we are at the early stages of an emerging vertical. The successful candidate will work closely with an established partnership with our compliance partner, a global leader in the AI sector.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves managing cross-trade shipments (e.g., Korea to Finland), coordinating with overseas agents across multiple time zones to ensure timely collection and delivery, and adherence to SOPs.

  • Booking jobs into the FMS (currently MultiFreight), managing accruals, invoicing, updating tracking sheets, coordinating deployment, and working with the white glove team. Promptly responding to customer emails and providing PODs are also essential.
  • The role requires working with the team and clients to discuss operational needs, anticipating ground support requirements, and keeping clients informed with relevant updates.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, a solid understanding of freight forwarding (preferably airfreight-biased), strong admin skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver top-tier service.

Employment Terms

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:30, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Salary is DOE, £30-40k, with flexible employment options.
