A leading freight forwarding company in the UK seeks a Specialist in Airfreight Operations to manage cross-trade shipments and coordinate logistics with overseas agents. The ideal candidate should have a sharp eye for detail and expertise in freight forwarding, particularly in airfreight. The position offers a salary of £30-40k, Monday to Friday working hours, and the opportunity to work with top-tier clients in a dynamic environment.
Due to growth, a new and exciting position is available for a Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations professional. Our client is part of a UK privately owned group handling more than 4.75 million consignments yearly, with a live customer base of 1500 per week.
Responsibilities for the Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations
With AI companies opening data centres worldwide, we are at the early stages of an emerging vertical. The successful candidate will work closely with an established partnership with our compliance partner, a global leader in the AI sector.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves managing cross-trade shipments (e.g., Korea to Finland), coordinating with overseas agents across multiple time zones to ensure timely collection and delivery, and adherence to SOPs.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, a solid understanding of freight forwarding (preferably airfreight-biased), strong admin skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver top-tier service.
