Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist SEND Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Southport. The role focuses on adapting lessons to complex needs, building trust and routines, and supporting academic development.

Experience with SEND, DBS clearances, and right to work in the UK are required. This is a part-time, ongoing position starting October 2026, with 5–15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND or disengaged pupils.
• UK classroom teaching experience desirable.
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification desirable.
• Creative, patient and willing to think outside the box.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional child-related references.
