Specialist SEN Primary Teacher (QTS) – Enfield – September 2025

Role: Specialist SEN Primary Teacher (QTS)

Pay Scale: From £36,413-£53,994 per annum (Main Pay Scale – Outer London + SEND Allowance of £2679-£5285)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Enfield, North London

At Clarus Education, we are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SEN Lead Teacher to work within a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for pupils with Speech, Language & Communication needs including Autism.

You will teach a class of up to 8 pupils who have a range of identified special educational needs.

The KS1 Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) opened in September 2023 and now have approval to open a KS2 SRP. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced SEND teacher to lead and develop the provision.

We are looking for skilled teacher with:

  • Proven skills of teaching pupils with special educational needs and of delivering a personalised curriculum either in special school or mainstream
  • Understanding of teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children with some successful abilities in coordinating and managing staff
  • Knowledge of, or skills in using specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECs etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with children, staff and parents
  • A commitment and passion for inclusive education along with the ability to use multiple strategies to maximise achievement and effectively manage a variety of challenging behaviours

The post holder will take lead responsibility for:

  • Teaching and learning in the Specialist Resourced Provision
  • Be an exemplary practitioner in teaching children with a wide range of SEND
  • Be part of the SEND team within school and take an active part in developing whole school SEND provision high needs children
  • Lead a team of support staff

Qualifications

Experience

The Specialist SEN Primary Teacher (QTS) should have experience of:

  • SEN Teaching experience, ideally with secondary pupils but open to SEN Teachers with experience of teaching Primary ages
  • Experience of supporting pupils with Autism
