Due to service expansion, an exciting opportunity exists at Bradford & Airedale Bowel Cancer Screening Centre for a Specialist Screening Practitioner (SSP). The Centre is based at Bradford Royal Infirmary but the Practitioner will work across Bradford and Airedale hospital Trusts.
The Centre provides bowel screening across Bradford, Airedale, and Wharfedale.
The post holder will work autonomously to deliver high-quality care and support for patients in the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.

Applicants must be registered health care professionals (RN level 1) with a relevant degree or equivalent experience. The candidate should communicate complex information effectively, possess excellent IT and presentation skills, and demonstrate significant professional development. The role involves providing clinics, assessment, and counselling for FIT-positive individuals, attending colonoscopies, and managing data entry into the screening system. The successful candidate will need to attend and pass a Certificate in Professional Development through LJMU, funded by the trust. Prior experience in screening, gastroenterology, or cancer is desirable but not essential. The role requires travel between sites.
