Are you a confident and experienced Band 5 or an emerging Band 6 Physiotherapist who would like to develop new clinical and managerial skills within an acute setting?

An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen to work with an innovative and dynamic team of therapists within London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking physiotherapist to join our diverse team and further develop specialist skills within a wide range of rotations.

This post is based at Ealing Hospital and will involve working across a variety of acute respiratory, medical and surgical wards, orthopaedics, frailty and musculo-skeletal outpatients services; with a potential for further opportunity to rotate across Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals.

The Therapy Department holds a high profile within the Trust and you will be encouraged to develop your clinical, teaching and managerial skills according to the area of work setting and CPD guidelines. Support and supervision will be provided by experienced therapists. Our multidisciplinary therapies department is committed to development and offers a large range of in-service and external training to suit individual’s needs. There are new and exciting projects continually being undertaken which you will be given the opportunity to partake in.

· Participate in the 9 monthly rotational scheme through all areas. Rotations include Respiratory including ITU, Medicine/Surgery, Department of Medicine for Older People, Acute Medical Unit, Orthopaedics, MSK outpatients.


· To perform advanced holistic physiotherapeutic assessment, as an autonomous practitioner, for patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment plan.

· To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), assessing and treating patients with complex surgical and/or respiratory disability, maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.

· Supervise, educate and assess the performance of less experienced Physiotherapists, Student Physiotherapists and Assistants to ensure standards of practice are met.

· Undertake evidence-based departmental audit and research projects, in association with Senior Physiotherapists, to further own and teams clinical practice.

· To engage in own continued professional development (CPD) and service development.

· To participate in the weekend and bank holiday working rota and emergency on-call service.

· To participate in 7 day working undertaken across therapies at the Trust. (max 1 in 4 weekends).
