Are you an ambitious pharmacist ready to advance your career? The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking Band 7 Specialist Rotational Pharmacists to join our dynamic Pharmacy Team at St Mary's Hospital. Develop your expertise on our stunning Island!

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist Rotational Pharmacist, you will:

  • Collaborate on prescribing decisions with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Undertake rotations in Oncology/Haematology, frailty and older person care, Urgent and Emergency Services, among others.
  • Monitor prescriptions and develop patient-centered pharmaceutical care plans.
  • Ensure seamless pharmaceutical care through accurate drug histories and discharge planning.
  • Contribute to medicines safety and quality initiatives.
  • Mentor and train pharmacy and healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in education and health promotion activities.
  • Represent pharmacy in Trust meetings.
  • Participate in a weekday service with some weekend and on-call duties, initially home-based.
