Job description


We have an exciting opportunity to join Barts Health therapies across the Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s, and Tower Hamlets community respiratory team (ARCARE), as part of our cross site respiratory rotations.We are looking for an experienced band 5 or established band 6 with experience across acute rotations.



Experience can be gained in the following areas:
• Adult Critical Care including major trauma and neurosurgical admissions
• Cardiovascular pathways at Barts Heart Centre, a commissioned VV-ECMO service, complex cardio-thoracic surgery including aortovascular and robotic thoracic surgery
• General surgery including regional services in upper GI and hepato-biliary surgery
• Acute specialist respiratory medicine
• Community pulmonary and cardio-vascular conditions management through admission avoidance, early supported discharge, virtual wards and PR
• Regional complex/long-term ventilation
• Cystic fibrosis



Applicants will have strong clinical skills with a holistic approach to patient care and evidence-based practice approach.We offer excellent opportunities for clinical supervision and managerial development, education programs, and work closely with our Barts Health Education Academy.

o To assist and contribute to organising, developing and delivering a high quality physiotherapy service provided to a wide variety of in-patients.

o To work in a diverse multicultural environment and refine and develop experience across specialist physiotherapy areas and rotations in our RLH/SBH/Community cross-site nine-monthly rotation

o To deliver specialised physiotherapeutic intervention to patients using highly developed skills in assessment and treatment of patients.

o To contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness during each rotation.

o To participate in the emergency and on call rota across the Royal London Hospital site (and as required across the wider Barts Health sites).
