Band 6 Renal Specialist Dietitian
Permanent Position
Location: Royal London Hospital (with travel to off-site dialysis satellite units)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Dietitian to join our well-established and highly respected renal dietetic team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian with a strong interest in renal dietetics and good acute dietetic skills to further develop their career within one of the largest renal units in Europe.

As a Band 6 Renal Dietitian, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dietetic care across a variety of settings, including:


• Inpatient services, including renal transplant patients
• Haemodialysis patients (both in-centre and satellite units)
• Pre-dialysis outpatient clinics

The role is primarily based at the Royal London Hospital, with up to one day per week at dialysis satellite units in East London. You will be working within a diverse and multicultural community, providing both rewarding experiences and complex clinical challenges.

You’ll join a dynamic and forward-thinking renal dietetic team comprising seven dietitians and one assistant dietetic practitioner. The team is actively involved in audit, research, and service development.

To provide a specialist clinical dietetic service at Band 6 level to patients cared for by the Bart’s Health Renal Services. This will include all the renal wards at the Royal London Hospital; renal outpatient and dialysis patients at Newham University Hospital, Hornchurch Dialysis Unit, Whipps Cross Hospital, King George’s Hospital or other Satellite units which may be opened in the future.

The main base will be at The Royal London Hospital but there is a requirement to visit your designated satellite unit to provide dietetic services to patients dialyzing there.

To function as an integral member of the clinical team, providing specialist dietetic care and contributing to patient outcomes. To continually evaluate and improve the service by undertaking audit and active research
